Our feet are still in rough shape and we are shuffling around town. Not the ideal way to start on our next 6 day stage of walking (which will include a couple of 12 hour days!!). We’re taking another day in Chamonix.
In other news, the bugs love me. Last week I got bitten by something and my hand looked like a giant tomato (Lynn kept on suggesting we make tomato sauce (ketchup for Canucks) out of my hand, as it is so hard to find here). Yesterday, I got a giant bite on my knee and one just behind my ear. I am all antihistamined up so the swelling isn’t grotesque….but I really hate these bugs.
Speaking of starting our next stage tomorrow, it will take us first to Modane and then into the Vanoise, with our next rest day scheduled for Val D’Isere!!! We’re very excited for that.
